SOUND BARN AUCTIONS!
"THE PERSONALIZED VOICE FOR YOUR MISSION"
Hear the sizzle of so
I'm a giver. I always have been. If I see someone in need, the first thing I do, is put them before me. Now I know you're thinking either, "That's dangerous", or "Why", but I was born that way. I have always had a need to protect children, or just be there to nurture. I have volunteered in the Lunch Buddy program, Read across America, The Big Brother Big Sister Program, and I was also a C.A.S.A (Court Appointed Special Advocate). But even though I volunteered for those programs, I still felt like I needed to do more...
I was also born an entertainer. I have been a performing songwriter for most of my life. I love the stage. I needed to know all aspects of it. So I perform, I write, I mentor, and I am even a live sound engineer! I was even an emcee for Charlie Daniels' New Year's Eve event, and I have performed for troops from over 50 countries!
I knew I was born to be an entertainer and never really thought about where I received such drive and determination, until one night, in a bit of an emotional breakdown, I cried out "Show me the way!" "What can I do to continue entertaining and feel good about myself! I want to give more and feel worthy!" Now my fans, will totally disagree with me on the last bit, but that's how I felt. Out of nowhere, I heard a whisper in my ear, "Auctioneer, Carrie". At first I was like, who would even remotely say that to me? But then it dawned on me! Duh! My Grandfather! My Great Grandfather! They were both cattle auctioneers in the Great Plains and the Midwest. That had to have been where I even picked up the entertainment bug from! As I started to think more, I realized that as a kid, I learned how to count by 5’s by chanting them auctioneer style! I thought that was the only way and I ended up teaching my kids how to do their 5’s that way as well. As you know, auctioneers also have to be great entertainers, so it is only the right thing to do, by expanding my entertainment tree with family lineage.
So here I am. I went to school at World Wide College of Auctioneering and became a member of NAA. I'm like a 5 year old watching youtube- totally sucked in until mom turns it off!
“I’ve worked with Carrie for several years and I am constantly impressed by her ability with every performance to bring in the audience and tell them her story. Whether her stories concern love, loss, humor, or anything else—she keeps the listener engaged. She is a genuine person that has a knack for entertaining through her experiences.”
